Disabled Facilities

If you have a special need and require assistance the key to a successful trip is planning. Here are our tips:

If you have a disability or you experience mobility difficulties and need assistance at the airport, you must contact your airline at least 48 hours before you fly. Give as much notice as possible for both the outbound and return journey, so you get the help you need. Of course, if we don’t get any warning, we’ll still try to do our best to help.

Even if you are fairly mobile, there can be long distances to walk, so you might still need a little extra help.

After letting your airline know you need assistance, if you want more information about the help we can give you at Gatwick, please call +44 (0)844 335 1802 and select option 2 for G4S, who provide special assistance at the airport.

To get assistance you must arrive at the agreed meeting point no later than two hours before the published flight departure time, or arrive at check-in no later than one hour before the departure time.

Information Desk

Estimated arrival times can be found on BBC CEEFAX pages 445 and 446 or ITV Teletext pages 185 and 186. By touch-tone phone, dial 0870 0002468 and listen to the instructions.

Each arrivals concourse has an information desk where multi-lingual staff are on hand to deal with enquiries, usually 24 hours a day. Public address announcements are made from the desks and they have message boards.

For insurance reasons, no items (including keys, packages etc) may be left at the desks or on the message boards.

For public annoucements please call +44 (0) 870 000 2468.
