Stansted is on the M11 motorway at Junction 8. The M11 connects with the M25 London Orbital Motorway at Junction 27, approximately 20
minutes drive south of the airport. Journey time to central London is 55-80 minutes.
Motorists arriving at Stansted should pay particular attention
to where they intend to park and the restrictions which apply
across the Airport.
For the convenience and safety of all passengers you are only
permitted to wait or park in authorised areas. Unattended,
illegally parked, or waiting vehicles will be subject to traffic
fines and tow away.
Flight Departures
The Terminal forecourt is reserved for departing passengers
set down only.
For the convenience of all passengers, once friends and relatives
have alighted, the car must depart promptly. If you require more
time, or need to make use of the facilities at Stansted, please
use the Short Stay Car Park. The first 15 minutes are free –
reinsert your ticket into the exit barrier at no cost.

then follow the signs for the LONG
STAY CAR PARK.

if travelling Northbound or Junction 8
if travelling Southbound. Follow signs
for the Terminal and Mid-Stay Car Park

Stansted Airport By Train
The fastest and most frequent link from Stansted to Central London is the 'Skytrain' rail service to London Liverpool Street. There is a
stop at Tottenham Hale, connecting with the Victoria line of the Underground. Trains run every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 08:00 and then every
15 minutes until 17:00 and then a half hourly service until midnight. Departures from London are on the hour and half hour, journey time
approximately 45 minutes and a single fare costs £13.00.

Stansted Airport By Taxi
There is no taxi rank at Stansted. Taxis must be booked at the desk in the International Arrivals area. Journey time to central London is
around 70 minutes. Fare approximately £1.20 per mile, £1.40 between midnight and 0600 (6.00am). To avoid the inevitable queues
for taxis, you can book your taxi in advance through Black Cab London.
No waiting charges are incurred as all flights are monitored by the
reservation staff. You will be met outside the customs area by your driver, who will assist you in carrying your luggage to the vehicle.
