Stansted Pink Elephant Parking

Pink Elephant is the offical long-term on-airport car park at Stansted, and is ideal for medium to long stays, with regular transfers operating 24 hours a day.

Transfers
Operate 24 hours, every 20 minutes and take approximately 10-15 minutes. Please allow 45 minutes for check in and transfer to the airport.

Arrival Procedures
At entry barrier DO NOT press the button to get an entry ticket. Insert same credit card used to make the booking (last 4 digits shown on your confirmation) with the magnetic strip facing down and to the right - A ticket will be issued containing your unique booking reference and the barrier will open. A ticket will NOT be issued if the wrong credit card is used. Either, insert the correct card or press the button to obtain an entry ticket. Follow signs to the open zone. Transfers to and from the airport operate approx. every 20 mins taking 10-15 mins. Allow 45 mins from arrival to enter, park & transfer to terminal.

Departure Procedures
On return go to the pick up point on terminal forecourt to collect the bus. If you entered using your credit card, drive to the exit barrier and insert the entry ticket issued with the booking reference on it. The barrier will open. No money will be taken from your card unless you have stayed longer than booked. If you took an entry ticket you must report to the manned kiosk on exit (blue booth), where your booking will be processed manually. DO NOT insert a credit card at the exit barrier as you will be charged again at the standard gate rate.

Directions
Exit the M11 at Junction 8A (travelling from the south) or Junction 8 (travelling from the north) and follow signs for Stansted Airport, take the first slip road on the left signposted Long Stay. At the roundabout take the first exit signposted Long Stay Car Park. Go straight over the next roundabout. The entrance to the car park is 400 yards on the left.

Well lit, with high security fencing, CCTV and 24 hour patrols.

Disabled Facilities
Spaces are located near all bus stops. Buses accommodate wheelchairs/easy access. An assistance button can be pressed on arrival.

Maximum Car Size
None. Transit vans should be parked in zone D, from where you walk to the Administration Building to request a transfer.

Insurance
Offers free cover for damage resulting from any act or omission on the part of its servants or agents. Parking is at vehicle owner's own risk.

Other Useful Information
Due to essential road works being carried out near the Long Stay Car Park at Stansted, all customers will experience delays. There may also be delays with the bus service during this period. It is expected that these road improvements will be completed by the start of July 2006. Customers are advised to allow an additional 30 miutes to access the car park and reach the terminal in good time.
